A massive 192 GB data breach originating from the original 2022 hack has recently surfaced online, exposing an extensive trove of early Grand Theft Auto VI development assets. This major leak includes an unpolished, playable 2015 concept map that modders have already ported into GTA V on PC.
Due to the illegal nature of the hacked data, parent company Take-Two Interactive is aggressively issuing DMCA takedowns to scrub these leaked videos, gameplay clips, and map images from platforms like YouTube, X, and TikTok.
Key Discoveries from the Recent Leaks
The massive file dump has provided fans and dataminers with a detailed look at cut content and early game mechanics:
* Early 2015 Leonida Map: The 2015 concept map covers a massive geographic footprint—taking twice as long to traverse as GTA V's map. However, it features extensive cut content, including a scrubbed Disney World-inspired theme park, a space station, Daytona International Speedway, and a cut portion of Key West.
* Gameplay & World Mechanics: Discovered clips highlight advanced open-world mechanics such as reactive beach NPCs, jet ski rentals, a vehicle HUD featuring active gas gauges, and a character honor system.
* New Police Vehicles: Vehicles identified in the development builds include the Bravado Bison 1800(based on a real-life Ram 1500), an undercover Vapid Police Ghost Stan Cruiser, and the Police Western Sovereign 107 motorcycle.
* Scrapped GTA V DLC: Beyond GTA VI, the leak exposed years of canceled single-player content for GTA V, including a planned Liberty City map expansion and a canceled script where Trevor Philips suffered a gruesome death via liquid nitrogen.
A Warning About Online Links and Torrents
Because Take-Two Interactive is actively removing official sources of the footage, many files currently circulating on peer-to-peer torrent networks are highly dangerous. Security researchers warn that fake "113GB ISO" downloads and unverified zip files claiming to hold the leaked gameplay are padded malwaredesigned to compromise PCs. Sharing or downloading these files is illegal and poses serious cybersecurity risks.
