Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Tyler Rogers has had a wonderful career in Major League Baseball. Through seven years in the majors, the submarine-throwing right-hander has a 26-23 record in 420 appearances out of the bullpen, pitching to an incredible 2.76 ERA across 424 innings.
Rogers was taken in the 10th round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants out of Austin Peay State University. He stayed in the Giants' organization until he was traded midseason in 2025 to the New York Mets.
The 35-year-old led all of baseball with 81 appearances last year between the Giants and Mets, having a 1.98 ERA in 77 1/3 innings pitched. He struck out 48 batters while walking just seven.
This offseason, Rogers was a free agent and signed a three-year, $37 million contract with the defending American League champion Blue Jays.
He was one of multiple big-name free agents to sign with Toronto before the 2026 season, including starting pitcher Dylan Cease, who signed a seven-year, $210 million deal, and star Japanese infielder Kazuma Okamoto, who inked a four-year contract worth $60 million.
